About Us

I believe that children are natural learners and the adults’ role is to facilitate them towards it. We often tend to project our boxes and biases onto children which hinder their independent thinking. 
I believe that confident children make confident people, and confident people make for a confident and better society.

My journey with Montessori began when my son joined a Montessori school. Learning how this method facilitates children with joy and seeing my son become more independent - inspired me to understand the fundamentals, techniques and eventually become a certified Montessori facilitator. 

At Hastam, children learn while working with physical materials that are designed with unique motives:

• EPL - Exercises of Practical Life 
• Sensorial - To utilise all the five senses 
• Language - To introduce them to language structures 
• Mathematics - To introduce them to the basics 
• Culture - To introduce them to the world around us - from Botany to Zoology and Geography.

As our name suggests, we are all about hands on learning. And Hastam is a home away from home - quite literally. We are housed in a beautiful garden and flower filled bungalow with three floors of learning spaces for children to explore. 
Every material, every space at Hastam is designed keeping in mind strict safety standards required for children to be able to move freely and learn joyfully.
